1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how LexiArcade handles information when you use the LexiArcade mobile app on Android and iOS. LexiArcade is provided by BPZone (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
LexiArcade does not require you to create a traditional account with an email address, password, phone number, or social login. Depending on the app version and platform, LexiArcade may use anonymous app authentication to support profile, progress sync, and ranking features. We do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone recordings, precise location, or payment information.
2. Information stored on your device
The Android app uses Android app storage, and the iOS app uses iOS app storage such as UserDefaults, to store the following app information locally on your device:
- Completed game levels, stars, hints, coins, and unlocked progress;
- Vocabulary words saved to the Leitner review box, their review box, and due dates;
- Speaking practice topics or parts completed today and related daily coin rewards;
- Leitner reminder preferences, reminder time, and whether notification permission was requested;
- Haptic feedback, diagnostics, and help-tip preferences;
- Ad frequency and cooldown counters used to avoid showing interstitial ads too often; and
- Unfinished Knot Logic puzzle drafts.
This information is used to operate the app, remember your progress, schedule reminders, manage rewards, and keep advertising frequency reasonable. Some profile and gameplay progress information may also be synced online as described in the next section when those features are available in your version of the app.
On Android, LexiArcade is configured to exclude app data from Android cloud backup and device-transfer extraction. On iOS, local app data may be included in device backups depending on your Apple and device backup settings. You can remove most local progress information by using Reset Progress in the app, or remove local app information by deleting the app.
3. Online profile, progress sync, and leaderboard
Depending on your app version and platform, LexiArcade may use Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to create an anonymous app identifier and sync profile and progress information. This helps show your profile, preserve gameplay progress for app features, calculate your rank, and display a global leaderboard. This anonymous identifier is created automatically by the app and is not an email address, phone number, or social login.
Synced information may include:
- Your anonymous Firebase user ID;
- Your chosen profile name and built-in avatar selection;
- Your operating system, such as Android or iOS;
- Coins, lifetime coins earned, stars, score, speed bonus, and completed levels;
- Highest level reached and average completion time for each game mode;
- Overall average completion time and gameplay statistics used for ranking; and
- Profile creation, update, and last-seen timestamps.
Your profile name, built-in avatar, score, total completed levels, total stars, average time, and rank may be visible to other LexiArcade users in leaderboard features. Your private coin balance, detailed per-game statistics, anonymous Firebase user ID, and last-seen timestamp are not intentionally displayed to other users.
Profile names are optional and should not include sensitive personal information. LexiArcade only offers built-in avatars; it does not ask you to upload photos or grant photo library access for profile pictures.
LexiArcade may also use Firebase App Check or platform integrity services, such as Google Play Integrity on Android and Apple integrity services where supported on iOS, to help protect backend services from abuse.
4. Usage analytics and crash diagnostics
The Android and iOS versions of LexiArcade may use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and Firebase Crashlytics to understand crashes, ANRs on Android, and stability issues. These services help improve future versions. They may process information such as:
- App launches, screen views, and time spent in general app sections or modes;
- Vocabulary category opens, vocabulary search result counts, and selected word IDs;
- Leitner additions and review outcomes;
- Speaking practice screen engagement and completion/reward events;
- Game level starts, completions, difficulty, stars, coins, and the number of hints used;
- Rewarded ad prompts, rewards earned, and unavailable rewarded ads;
- Crash reports, stack traces, app version, and device state at the time of a crash;
- App instance and device information; and
- General performance and diagnostic information.
We do not send spoken answers, typed search text, puzzle board contents, selected letters, discussion prompt answers, your email address, precise location, or a custom analytics user ID to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. Profile and leaderboard data, such as your chosen profile name and anonymous Firebase user ID, may be processed separately through Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore as described above.
Where available, you can turn analytics and crash diagnostics collection on or off at any time using Share Diagnostics in the app’s Settings screen. Turning it off stops future analytics and Crashlytics collection from the app on that device.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are provided by Google. Learn more in Firebase Privacy and Security .
5. Advertising
LexiArcade may display advertising provided by Google AdMob. Ads may include banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats. Rewarded ads are optional and are shown only when you choose to watch an ad to earn in-app coins.
Advertising providers may process device and advertising information, such as advertising identifiers where available and permitted, app interactions, approximate device information, IP address, and ad performance information, to deliver, measure, limit, and improve ads. LexiArcade configures Google Mobile Ads with a general audience maximum ad content rating, and the iOS version disables publisher ad personalization signals where supported. Debug builds use Google test ad units, while production builds use LexiArcade’s AdMob ad units.
6. Consent and advertising choices
Where required, LexiArcade uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent before requesting ads on Android and iOS. If advertising privacy choices are required in your region, they may be available from the app’s Settings screen under Ad Privacy Choices. You may also be able to manage advertising choices through your device settings, Apple settings, Google settings, or Google account settings.
7. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information or share personal information with third parties for BPZone’s own direct marketing. Profile and leaderboard information that you choose to use in the app, such as your profile name and built-in avatar, may be shown to other LexiArcade users as part of app functionality. Information may also be processed by Google and Firebase in connection with authentication, Firestore sync, app integrity, advertising, analytics, crash diagnostics, and consent services described above. We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect users, the app, or our rights.
8. Data retention
Local app information remains on your device until you reset your progress or delete the app. Some settings, such as haptics, diagnostics, and reminder preferences, may remain after resetting progress so the app can preserve your choices. Online profile, progress, and leaderboard information may remain in Firebase until it is deleted by us or until you request deletion as described below. Analytics, crash diagnostics, advertising, app integrity, and consent information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies and the privacy choices available to you. Android app data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer by app configuration; iOS local data retention in backups depends on your Apple and device backup settings.
9. Notifications
LexiArcade can send local Leitner reminder notifications when review words are due. Notifications are optional and can be controlled from the app’s Settings screen and your device notification settings. Reminder preferences and reminder time are stored locally on your device.
On Android, LexiArcade requests notification permission when needed and uses boot or app-update events only to re-schedule local Leitner reminders after the device restarts or the app is updated. On iOS, LexiArcade uses Apple’s local notification permission flow for Leitner reminders.
10. Children’s privacy
LexiArcade is a general-audience word puzzle game. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to us. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of the app and review the device privacy controls available in their region.
If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, please contact us using the method described below.
11. International processing
Google, Firebase, Apple, and their service providers may process app functionality, profile, leaderboard, advertising, analytics, crash diagnostics, app integrity, and consent information in countries other than the country where you live. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information handled by the app, including encryption in transit for data sent to supported backend services. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your rights and deletion requests
Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. You can delete most local progress information using Reset Progress or by deleting the app.
You may request deletion of online LexiArcade profile, progress, and leaderboard data by contacting us using the method below. To help us find the correct record, include your profile name, approximate date of use, platform, and any other details visible in the app that can help identify your anonymous profile. We may ask for additional information to verify and locate the record before deleting it.
Requests concerning information processed directly by Google can be submitted through Google’s privacy controls and policies linked above. Requests concerning Apple device or iCloud-related information can be managed through Apple’s privacy controls and policies.
14. External links
The app may open external services such as the privacy policy, app stores, Google Play, the Apple App Store, the developer’s website, or support pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its services, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be published at this location with a revised effective date.
