Thread Circle by BPZone
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: July 5, 2026
Thread Circle for iOS, iPadOS, and Android processes your selected photos entirely on your device. Thread Circle does not upload photos, generated artwork, pin maps, or thread sequences to BPZone, Google, Apple, or an app server. Current versions use Google services for ads, consent management, analytics, and diagnostics. The iOS/iPadOS version also includes Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
1. Scope and Supported Apps
This Privacy Policy applies to the Thread Circle by BPZone mobile application, also displayed on your device as Thread Circle, on Apple iOS/iPadOS and Google Android. It covers the Apple App Store app with bundle identifier com.bpzone.ca.threadcircle.ios and the Google Play app with package name com.bpzone.ca.threadcircle. The app is developed and published by BPZone.
Unless a newer policy is posted, this policy describes the data practices of Thread Circle version 3.0 and later on iOS/iPadOS and version tc06 / version code 6 and later on Android.
2. Photos and On-Device Processing
Thread Circle lets you choose a photo to create a circular string art pattern. The selected image, crop settings, generated design, numbered pin sequence, and preview are processed locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Thread Circle does not upload them to BPZone, Google, or an app server.
Photo access is used only to let you select the image you want to process. Thread Circle does not scan, copy, or upload your photo library. No account or registration is required.
On iOS/iPadOS, photo selection uses Apple's photo picker and the system photo library permission text shown by iOS. On Android, photo selection uses Android's system content picker. Thread Circle uses the selected image only for the pattern-generation workflow you start.
3. Data Collected by Service Providers
Thread Circle integrates third-party SDKs whose data practices may differ by platform, region, consent choice, device setting, ad availability, and Google configuration.
| Platform | Integrated services | Primary purpose |
|---|---|---|
| iOS and iPadOS | Google Mobile Ads, Google's User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics | Ads, consent management, analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting |
| Android | Google Mobile Ads, Google's User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics | Ads, consent management, analytics, and service diagnostics |
These providers may collect the following categories. This list is aligned with the app's Apple App Store privacy disclosures and Google Play Data safety disclosures:
| Data category | Examples | Typical purpose | Association |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coarse Location | Approximate location inferred from an IP address | Advertising and analytics | May be linked to a device |
| Device ID | Advertising ID, IDFV, instance IDs, installation IDs, or other device-level identifiers where permitted | Advertising, ad measurement, and analytics | May be linked and used for tracking where permitted |
| Product Interaction | App launches, screen views, feature use, taps, and ad interactions | Advertising, analytics, and service improvement | May be linked to a device |
| Advertising Data | Ads shown, impressions, clicks, and rewarded-ad activity | Third-party advertising, ad delivery, and measurement | May be linked to a device |
| Crash Data | Crash logs and crash-related technical details, primarily from Firebase Crashlytics on iOS/iPadOS | App functionality, reliability, diagnostics, and analytics | Not linked to your identity by BPZone |
| Performance Data | Launch, responsiveness, and technical performance information | Diagnostics, advertising services, and analytics | Not linked to your identity by BPZone |
| Other Diagnostic Data | Device, app, network, consent, and error diagnostics | App functionality, advertising, and analytics | Not linked to your identity by BPZone |
Thread Circle does not request your name, email address, phone number, physical address, contacts, precise GPS location, health data, financial information, purchase history, browsing history, search history, or sensitive personal information. Thread Circle does not transmit your selected photos or generated artwork as user content to BPZone or Google.
4. How This Data Is Used
- To display and measure banner and rewarded advertisements.
- To determine whether advertising consent or privacy options are required.
- To understand app reliability and general feature usage.
- To diagnose crashes, errors, and performance problems.
- To prevent abuse and maintain the security of Google services.
BPZone does not sell your selected photos, generated artwork, or exports. Third-party advertising providers process advertising data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Advertising, Consent, and Privacy Choices
Current versions may display banner advertisements on the Settings, generation progress, and result screens. Creating a PDF export requires the user to choose to watch and complete a rewarded advertisement. PNG export and the app's core pattern-generation features do not require a rewarded ad.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform displays a consent message before ads are requested. Ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited depending on applicable law, your consent choices, device settings, platform rules, and ad availability.
A Privacy Choices option appears in the app's Settings page when Google indicates that privacy options are required for the user. You can use it to review or update applicable advertising consent choices. You may also limit ad tracking through your iOS or Android privacy settings.
Debug and development builds may use Google's sample ad identifiers. Public App Store and Google Play release builds use BPZone's production AdMob app and ad unit identifiers.
6. Generated Files and Sharing
PNG and PDF exports, including the printable pin template, preview, and thread sequence, are created locally and temporarily on your device. Thread Circle does not automatically upload these files.
If you choose to save or share an export using the device's system sharing interface, the file is provided to the destination or third-party service you select. Apple, Google, your device provider, or that service may process the file under its own privacy policy. BPZone does not control those external services.
7. Data Retention
BPZone has no server-side copy of your photos, patterns, or exports and therefore does not retain them. The app does not save projects between sessions. Temporary export files are managed locally by iOS or Android, and files saved or shared by you remain wherever you choose to place them.
Analytics, diagnostic, crash, consent, and advertising data may be retained by Google according to its policies, legal obligations, and the applicable Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, and User Messaging Platform service settings.
8. Third-Party Services
The app integrates Google Firebase Analytics, Google Mobile Ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform on both iOS/iPadOS and Android. The iOS/iPadOS app also integrates Firebase Crashlytics. These services may transmit the data described above to Google. Their processing is governed by Google's privacy practices: https://policies.google.com/privacy .
Firebase privacy and security information is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy .
You can also review Google's explanation of how it uses information from apps and sites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites . Standard Apple and Android features, including photo selection and system sharing, are governed by Apple, Google, and the applicable device platform's terms and privacy practices.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, restriction, or information about certain personal data. Because BPZone does not receive or retain your photos, projects, or account information, BPZone cannot retrieve those items from a server. Files saved by you can be deleted from their saved location on your device or chosen storage service.
For data controlled by Google, requests may need to be directed to Google using the controls and contact methods in Google's privacy policy. You may also withdraw or update eligible advertising consent through the in-app Privacy Choices option when it is available. Platform-level controls may also be available in Apple's iOS/iPadOS privacy settings or Android's privacy and ads settings.
10. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13. BPZone does not knowingly collect children's photos or artwork. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, please contact BPZone.
11. Security
Keeping photo processing on the device reduces exposure to network and server risks. However, no device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for the destinations and services you choose when saving or sharing generated files.
12. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the app's features, service providers, or data practices change. The latest version will be published on the BPZone website with a revised effective date.
